About Us

Providing Food Assistance to Individuals & Families

WE BELIEVE IN SHARING

MISSION STATEMENT

The Wabasha Area Food Share has a mission to provide nutritious food to our neighbors in need. Although the Food Share primarily provides food assistance for residents of the Wabasha/Kellogg area, all residents of Minnesota are welcome to visit. The Food Share may be used on a one-time basis, a regular weekly or monthly basis or as needed throughout the year. We believe in the importance of protecting privacy and dignity, and in serving with respect and integrity.

Our shelves and coolers/freezers are stocked with a wide variety of items such as non-perishable foods, frozen meats and vegetables, eggs, dairy products, bread, cooking ingredients, and personal care items. Fresh produce is always available as well.

A team of trained volunteers is responsible for the routine operations and a board of directors, comprised of community and church representatives, provides leadership and oversight. Our Manager Martha Black is the one paid part-time staff member. Contact her directly at 715-448-0496 with any questions or concerns.

TESTIMONIALS

I really want to say thank you for everything. Having just moved here last week and not having much money to spare after moving expenses on my tight fixed income, the generosity shown by your organization really means a lot and makes the next 2 weeks much easier. So again, thank you very much, thank to your volunteers and supporters.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.   I have been blessed through you and the food share.

Thank you for helping me find the help I needed!  I spoke with Public Health and I qualify for assistance to get my plumbing fixed thru their program. I’m so grateful for you and that I asked you!  Many others I spoke with didn’t have the idea of Tammy and it was exactly the help I qualify for and need!!  I also left a message for Workforce Development and appreciate that suggestion as well. THANK YOU!
